Here's what I did saturday while they were protesting and crying about the death of their nation.
I woke up and watched the sun come through my window. Ate toast with butter. Got online to blog a little. Checked on my order of watermelon margarita scented foaming soap from bath and body works... they're a little behind, it might take 3-4 days. then I went on a very long walk with my dog. went past our favorite pizza takeout place and thought hmm, maybe we'll get pizza this week. went home and had a fresh salad, cleaned out the garage in the afternoon and watched TV with my family.
All of this in a CRUMBLING SOCIETY full of DEMOCRACY HATERS.
Has anyone ever read Diary of Anne Frank? Remember that quarantine, where the family GOT to live in a tiny apartment with eight people for two years? sharing a bathroom, eating rations of beans and potatoes, blacking out the windows, not making any noise, and staying entertained with a few books and a radio? And then they were killed.
What would these protesters do if life was actually hard?
