out of town

So I decided to go see Dave this weekend. The trip up was long... I left at 3:00 and got here at 6:30. Didn't stop once, but got stuck in an awful traffic jam in Raytown due to an accident on I435. They cut it down to one lane. The part of the trip that would normally take about 30 minutes ended up taking over an hour, it was awful, we just crawled along. Plus, the AC in my little car just doesn't blow cold unless the car is moving, so I got really hot then rolled my windows down and considered taking off clothes. Luckily, I made it out before I did anything too drastic.

I listened to NPR the whole way up after that. Prairie Home Companion came on and that was nice. Made the trip pass a lot faster. I love NPR, really, if I ever have a job or an income or something maybe I'll be a member. I love "All Things Considered" and I really like "This American Life". Sometimes "What Do You Know?" isn't bad, it has its days.

Dave was awfully happy to see me when I got here. We went out to dinner at a nice italian restaraunt, talked for a long time. The waitress seemed to forget about us at the end there, but it wasn't so bad because we didn't mind sitting with each other. We came back and went to be early.

Zach (the roommate, the chuffycow, whatever) is doing well, but hurt his back at work or something a couple days ago. He's doing better, but Dave says when he gets home I should go jump in his arms or something :) Or at least make him laugh. It hurts him, so it's that much more amusing. We're so lovable.

I woke up this morning and cuddled with Dave. He made me french toast, did a pretty good job, and now we're just sort of hanging out. No hardcore plans because it's sunday, so there's not a lot going on. Dave is studying a bit for his A+ test tomorrow.

It's nice here, always is.

Prairie Home Companion...
My dad is *obsessed* with that show and Garrison Keillor. He has like 1GB of MP3s of that show, and he listens to the RealAudio recordings of it all the time. It's funny, but man :P

my dad listens to npr all the time. it definitely has its moments. a couple days ago they had (i forget what show it was on) like a semi annual joke fest thing?!?!? something where they just tell jokes on and on and on. and they are funny jokes too, not just wierd old people jokes. oh and there's a funny word show. i forget what its called. i think its on on sundays at around noon.
but anyways. i really like your website (the spacefem.com), it was very entertaining! (and original)

are you from the DC area? I listen to NPR every day to and from work, (well, to be honest, more like subjected to it, but it is actually a nice bit of reality) and the building is right next to where i work. not to be weird about it or anything, just not many people around my age even know what NPR is.....
