She weighs 9 lbs 11 oz today. So it's not just my imagination, the kid's putting some serious fat on. She's got elbow dimples, and leg rolls, and some darn cute cheeks!
Her baptism was this week. It was a lovely day, we had all four of her grandparents in town. She wore a simple little dress and over it, this crochet jacket set that my great-grandmother on my mother's father's side made for me, when I was a baby. Mom gave it to me at my baby shower for Josie. Olive's baptism just happened to coincide with the time of her life when she fit into it. An older woman at church even recognized the pattern and talked to mom about it for a while.
We've had a good month. Olive is a happy little baby, a lot calmer than Josie, she has more hours of awake time when she's not fussy. This past week she's been noticing more things, like her mobile, and light fixtures, really focusing on stuff we can see. She looks at the world, and after a few hours of that she's tired, and just wants to curl up on somebody's chest to go to sleep. That's as exciting as our house gets these days.
