On March 10, the Congressional Gold Medal is being awarded to the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). This wonderful ladies were America's first women military aviators. They trained as military pilots during World War II and served as ferry and test pilots. I've had the privilege to see them at some conferences and Oshkosh and their stories are so inspiring, I'm thrilled that they're getting recognition. They've had to work very hard to get noticed and thanked for their service.
They are currently raising money so that as many of them as possible can attend the Congressional Medal ceremony in Washington. Yes there are a million causes you can give money to these days but throwing a little bit their way would make a big difference. Donations are tax deductible.
