Then tonight I'm at my computer, sitting in the chair kind of slouching when I felt it again. I put my hand and pressed there, on the left side of my belly right between the corner of my hip bone and belly button, and it really feels like something is gurgling. Marc was asleep so I woke him up and made him put his hand there but he said he didn't feel anything unless I moved, but I was like "that's me moving". When I hold really still, that's when I could feel it. It's fast, but not rhythmic. Small, but noticeable even if I'm not feeling it. But it's clearer when my hand is there. No feeling on my right side.
I looked up "stomach" on wikipedia and the human stomach seems to be just about in our rib cage, I think this is way too low to be my stomach.
Then again, maybe I'm a crazy person who's been reading too many pregnancy articles and I need to chill the fsck out. The internet says a lot of women feel something between 16 and 22 weeks, and I'm at 17 going on 18. Then again it also says if it's your first, it'll be past 18 weeks. So fine, you can all tell me it's something else and I'll believe you.
By the way I said "hip bone" but those are sort of undescernable now which is unfortunate. I used to have obvious bones sticking out of the front of me, and this hollow between them, now there's belly. It's firm. It's growing. I just measured myself to see it's just me... I'm 36" around, didn't I just say two weeks ago that I was 34" around?
The average fetus is over 5" long at this stage, not including legs. It grows an inch every two weeks. Seems like you'd notice something like that.
