But honestly, I think it's fabulous. It keeps my inbox simple and short. It also forces people to get the really important information documented in the right place... decisions made via e-mail are kept in requirements documents out on the shared drive, not in random folders in one guy's outlook.
It's rare that I'll take up the company position on IT stuff, most of it is really restrictive and insane, they treat us like we're technologically illiterate, not engineers. But I agree with the e-mail thing.
