how to fold a six-pointed snowflake (IMPORTANT!)

Last winter, you might remember, I went on some tirades about non-six-sided snowflakes. It was offended by some books my daughter had, BABY EINSTEIN books, no less, that couldn't depict snowflakes accurately. And this year it's worse, already getting to me, and it's painful. Everywhere I look there are shop displays, sweaters, toys, advertisements, you name it... all showing snowflakes with 4, 5, 7, 8, or however many sides. It is unacceptable.

I'll try to stay kind calm about it. I will not turn this blog into a catalog of the failure.

But I did want to post a quick helpful guide. Many people do not make six-sided snowflakes simply because they do not know how to fold six-sided snowflakes. So as a public service, I've made this handy step-by-step. Please share with your friends. Thanks.

Update: and here are the instructions in a pinterest version :)
