October 2009
Last year at this time I was wondering why my period was five days late.
I remember taking that pregnancy test and immediately trying to put it out of my mind, because I didn't know if it was real or not, and if it was real I didn't know if I'd stay pregnant... early stages are iffy. So I wasn't going to tell anyone. I wasn't going to think about it. And I told Marc to act normal, don't tell anyone, don't bring it up, concentrate on anything else.
But a few days later, we were in bed ready to go to sleep. It was dark and quiet.
I whispered, "How often do you think about it?"
And he said, "A lot."
