welcome to kansas

(no subject)

I slept late this morning but because of daylight savings it wasn't that late, so we made it to church anyway, yessss! okay but really, you ever have one of those mornings when you feel incredibly comfortable in your bed and don't really want to get out of it? after church, marc and i took a mini-nap because he had to work really late last night at the club and then has his "day job" at noon, so he didn't get much sleep (read:any) and wanted to lay down, and then he went to work and I stayed in bed. yeah, me, the one who got eight hours of sleep. and I'd so like to stay in bed now because it's comfy. and it's autumn... forget that it's in the 70s today, it's still autumn, the leaves are turning, I have this impulse to stay inside and live on soups and wear sweats. and definitely don't go out.

oh wait, I should mention that the leaves are turning everywhere except our house. I don't know what it is, but we basically have one cool big tree in our front yard, and it just doesn't have a nice autumn cycle. Last week it realized it was cold, turned brown in like a day, dropped all its leaves, and now it's in winter mode... like, wtf? you couldn't be neat for a few weeks or whatever, make this a nice gradual thing?
