lj friend handling

I posted this as a livejournal suggestion, and it got accepted to the community but reception has been tepid:

It has to do with grouped friends... it drives me NUTS that creating and editing friends groups is so blocky and awful right now. I know I cannot be the only one who thinks that. That javascript setup they've got is just really slow, and if you want to create a new group from scratch and you're say, me, with 400 friends, it's almost impossible, you don't know where to start.

so anyway if you agree with the idea, go back me up, I'd appreciate it :) Hey, if making friends groups was easier for me, I'd read more journals, so there's some incentive! I just went through and cleaned up my friends list to get rid of everyone who had cut me and it was sort of sad. Okay yeah, there were a lot of people who I had no idea who they were. But there were some other really cool ones who's names I recognized, and it's like, crap, I thought we had something going and I was wrong. I was a bad friend. I got the lj friend ax.

Maybe I'll make another suggestion... when someone ads or removes you as a friend, they get a text field to add some kind of reason. like, "I'm limiting my friends list to only people I've met in real life" or "I'm tired of your smug happy ramblings about your perfect boyfriend" or "I finally saw a picture of you. I'm really sorry."
