hrc

I went to the wichita hrc meetup and it was so cool! lots of people there, all talking about how to be liberal and happy in the middle of kansas. there's always news to talk about... just this week our city has been looking for a new city manager, and we had five candidates, and then the paper reported that the front runner supported extending benefits to same-sex domestic partners of city employees in the last place he worked. well! we can't have that in our town, can we? Jesus won't love us anymore!

Crud like that. Anyway I met some awesome people and we stayed late there talking. They invited me to the unitarian church. I'm sure it's nice, but it's just not right for me. I don't feel a need to get out of bed in the morning to just hang out and be "generally spiritual" - I really am too Christian. So maybe I'll try it out but I'll probably go back to my happy liberal Jesus-loving church.

Today was a better day at work. I've found that on boring days it helps to put in a CD and listen to headphones. I typed less. Someone brought in donuts, that makes a good day right there.
