love, clothing, still new at work

So Dave is still here, which is fine with me, he's looking for work in Wichita maybe and kind of holding down the fort while I go to work each day. The birds are going nuts, he lets them fly around all day which they're pretty stoked about. We cook together. Sunday we made lasagna and I ate it for lunch on Monday and Tuesday, everyone at work was totally jealous.

I wore a bright pink blouse to work today, made me feel kind of fun to tell the truth. I didn't think it'd be this pink when I ordered it from the Lands End catalog (we must have talls, you know) but I figured it'd grow on me so I kept it. I think I like it now.

Also ordered some fantastic sweaters from Eddie Bauer, they came in talls as well and actually fit okay. So my winter career wardrobe isn't so desperate anymore.

In avionics news, I'm updating our standard aircraft with a new autopilot, which is scary because I have no idea what I'm doing. It'll have to go through group check five times, and I think the guys know this but are too busy to be bothered with it. I have no idea how anyone here prioritizes anything. I have a special system on one of my parts kits that they've actually brought to my attention without me going nuts about it first. Usually I have to lay a stack of senseless documents with big red circles around everything I don't know about to get anyone's attention, so in a way I'm extra worried when I'm offered help right off the bat. It really is like that light at the end of the tunnel being a train.

Let me restate the fact that I can't wait to not be new here.

And for your final sad thought of the day: someone arrived at my site, spacefem.com, yesterday by typing "john ashcroft desktop wallpaper" in a search engine. I have several concerns about this:

1) My site is related to john ashcroft desktop wallpaper (ahhhh!)
2) Someone was looking for john ashcroft desktop wallpaper (AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!)

How does anyone ever have faith in humanity?
