happy homecoming!

Crazy day!

First off, I slept in until 10:00. I can't believe myself, I almost never sleep past 9 unless I'm sick, usually 8:15 or so is my default wake-up time, even if I go to bed at 1AM or something. I feel so imbalanced.

About 10 minutes after that, my Dad calls to say he and mom are taking off and will be in town around noon to watch the football game with me. "You're room's clean, right?" Uh, shit. (this is where you have to understand my mother's anal-retentive tendencies about cleanliness. i think I live much cleaner that tha average college student, but she'd fall over and die if she saw how I usually lived... papers on the floor, laundry not done, all that. visitors to our house have been known to ask if people actually live there or if it's just some dead politician's dwelling kept up for tours and stuff)

So I clean my room top to bottom, still no time to vacuum, but at least I get the dusting done. Mom and Dad get into town and we go to lunch. Then football game. Team loses, very depressing since it's homecoming and all, yeah we were playing last year's national champions, but we were ahead through a lot of the game, so it sucked. Also, the tickets were standing room only so my legs got really tired.

Came back, worked desk duty in Dave's hall, he helped with mail and made me some macaroni and cheese, then left to go party like everyone else in this town. I'm stuck here working. Sigh!

I need to get back to statics homework now, it's really not fun, but statics never is. Or I could do laundry... hey, there's an idea...
