pants pockets

Since I do whatever I want, I'm going to just answer one of the thefridayfive
questions from this week:

2. Do you like pants pockets and what do you tend to put in them?

Oh my gosh yes. I love pants pockets. I love all pockets.

I hate how many women's slacks do not have pockets. It's almost a killer for me, but since I'm a weird size and it's hard to find pants, sometimes I can't be that picky. If I was a normal woman of average height who could buy pants anywhere, I would only buy pants with pockets. If I do somehow find two pairs of pants that both mostly fit, and one pair has pockets, that will be the deciding factor.

Some geeky sites are coming out with skirts and dresses that have pockets. I support this 100%.

For best results, the pockets are big enough to fit my iphone5.

I have not upgraded to an iphone6, mostly because it's bigger, so it doesn't fit as nicely into my pockets.

I heard they came out with a 6SE that's closer to the iphone5 in size. I'm considering it.

I must have chap stick in my pockets all the time. I also frequently have spare change, scraps of paper with notes, and tissues.

I guess I'd like to carry a pocket knife but I'd need like a dozen of them like I have chapsticks so I don't. I have a swiss card in my bag all the time - It's like a swiss army knife, but credit card size. It's really nice. I also do have some pocket knives in various purses. When it comes to pocket knives, they have to have the tiny scissors.

This concludes this very important entry. Thanks!

oh and those pocket teasers? I have no idea what they are called but they are pocket slits but there are NO pockets!! It's just a show!! Those drive me mad!!

I made a whole post on pockets because they are important. If we had proper adequate pockets then the purse/handbag business would go out of business! :P I obviously exaggerate.

In Indian tunic tops, only men get pockets. For the longest of times, I thought it was a tailoring issue - clearly I know nothing about sewing clothing. We heard from our tailor when MIL & I asked for pockets - they don't look good on women's clothing!! We found another tailor. One company in India, has pockets in Indian Tunics AND bottoms/salwars. They are the only ones I buy!

Pockets! They are important! Demand equality of sexes, one pocket at a time.

The pocket teasers - omg that infuriates me so much! When shopping for pants, the first thing I do is (try to) stick my hands in the pockets. Before I even check if they have it in my size, I need to know if it has pockets, and if it doesn't, we're done.

With skits I'm more willing to compromise, since I know that skirt pockets are so rare, but when I find a skirt with pockets, that is the best thing ever. spacefem, which geeky sites make them?

I used to wear jeans all the time and then switched to leggings when I was pregnant and never went back bacause they are so damn comfy! I miss pockets a lot. I carry a bag with me all the time, but it's on the big side and it's hard to find small quick things like tissues. So yeah, this is an important issue! ;)

I have an iPhone 6, which is probably the reason I haven't been able to turn it into another appendage. It's way to big for my pockets!

I bought two pair of shorts and was severely disappointed to discovet that what I had assumed were pockets were just fashionable slits. I wore them for a little while before passing them to a thrift store once I found shorts that actually had pockets and were a comfortable length (I'd like my butt cheeks to be covered when I bend over, thanks ...).

Other than a pair or two of dress slacks all of my pants are men's and usually some type of carpenter pant with ample pockets for putting all of the things. I am not a purse person and avoid having to carry anything in my hands if I can help it.

Currently I am sporting overalls because maternity pants suck and don't stay up if you put things in the pockets. I hope to be back in my regular pants in about a month. The overalls have been comfy and full of pockets to put things in, but they're not the most flattering.
